Our Story and History

In November of 1997, through the hard work of founders Jerry Wood and Buddy Curtis, the Boys & Girls Club of Fauquier opened its doors at Taylor Middle School. This was made possible by the Town of Warrenton, the County of Fauquier, the Fauquier County Public Schools and many dedicated individuals passionate about youth development. In late 2009, having out grown Taylor Middle School, the Club moved to its current Clubhouse at 169 Keith Street in Warrenton.  In July of 2021, the organization’s third Executive Director, Dr. Silvia Moore, initiated the restructuring of the Club, and closely aligned partnerships with Boys & Girls Clubs of Fauquier and the Fauquier County community. Currently the Club serves Fauquier County youth with the goal to increase our current youth outreach by 35% through targeted partner programs.
